9. Award an Agreement to Resource Environmental, Inc. to Demolish and Abate the\nproperty located at 796 E. 6th Street to prepare the site for construction of the future\nNavigation Center for a Total Amount Not to Exceed $177,200 (Ward 1) Pg.720\nRecommendation:\nIt is recommended that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Bernardino, California:\n1. Authorize the City Manager or designee to approve the award of an agreement\nwith Resource Environmental, Inc., in the amount of $177,200 for abatement of\nhazardous materials and demolition of the existing School of Hope buildings; and,\n2. Authorize the Director of Finance and Management Services to approve\ncontingencies in the amount of $35,440 for unforeseen conditions that may arise\nduring the abatement or demolition processes, for a total not to exceed budget\nof $212,640.00; and,\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents with Resource\nEnvironmental, Inc.; and,\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to expend the contingency fund, if\nnecessary, to complete the project.
