E. RESOLUTION NO. 25-11 PROCLAIMING THE TERMINATION OF A LOCAL\nEMERGENCY\nOn January 7, 2025, and in the days following, the City of San Gabriel was\nimpacted by a destructive wind and fire event. The Fire Chief activated the\nEmergency Operations Center (EOC) at Level 1 staffing on January 7, 2025, with\nPublic Works, Police, Fire, and Administration duties coordinated from the EOC\nfor the next two days. Due to continuing danger, on January 20, 2025, in\ncooperation with the County of Los Angeles Office of Emergency Management,\nthe City Manager as Director of Emergency Services proclaimed the existence\nof a local emergency. The City Council ratified the proclamation on March 21,\n2025. Staff has determined that a state of local emergency no longer exists, and\nformal City Council action is requested to terminate the state of local\nemergency. There is no fiscal impact from the adoption of Resolution No. 25-\n11.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-11\nproclaiming the termination of a local emergency.
