TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMITTEE ACTION ITEM: RELOCATE THE\nPLANNED DEEP VALLEY DRIVE CROSSWALK AND BULB-OUT FROM\nTHE LIBRARY MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE 627 DEEP VALLEY DRIVE\nMIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL BUILDING (LA COLLINA); AND APPROVE\nAN AMENDMENT TO WILLDAN TASK ORDER 2024-13\nMemorandum from David Wahba, Public Works Director\nRecommendation: That the City Council 1) Approve the relocation of the proposed\ncrosswalk and bulb-out from the main entrance to the library on Deep Valley Drive to\nthe location in front of Reverent Coffee, located at 627 Deep Valley Drive, as shown\non the attached exhibit; and, revise the bulb-out design on the south side of Deep\nValley Drive, to extend farther to the west to allow for the parking one vehicle to the\nwest of the bulb-out by adjusting the traffic lane configuration on Deep Valley Drive;\nand, 2) Approve an amendment to Task Order No. 2024-13 with Willdan in the\namount of $32,785, for additional pedestrian crossing engineering design services\nunder the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).\nAttachments: Staff Report
