11. 25-161 Approve and Accept the California Office of Emergency Services\n(Cal OES) Violence Against Women Act, Law Enforcement\nSpecialized Units Grant (LE24026601) and approve a three-year\ncontract with Waymakers for management of the Victim and Witness\nAssistance Services Program\nRecommended Action:\nA) Accept the Law Enforcement Specialized Units grant between the State of California\nGovernor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the City of Huntington Beach in\nthe amount of $203,142;\nB) Assign authority to the Chief of Police as the official to execute and sign for the award\nand to approve appropriations, amendments, and extensions;\nC) Approve the appropriation and expenditure of $270,856 of which $203,142 is to be\nfully reimbursed by the grant from Cal OES. The remaining $67,714 will be funded from\nappropriations in the Police Department’s budget; and,\nD) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk execute an Agreement between the City of\nHuntington Beach and Waymakers for Victim and Witness Assistance Services Program\nin the amount of $116,031 .
