6. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: ALMANSOR PARK GYMNASIUM EXTERIOR PAINTING\nPROJECT – F2M24-59, C2M24-61, M2M25-41\nOn September 23, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract to Tom’s Construction for\nthe Almansor Park Gymnasium Exterior Painting Project in the amount of $97,800. There\nwere no change orders associated with the project. This project has been inspected by\nstaff and all work has been completed in accordance with the City’s requirements and\nspecifications. As such, it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept this project\nas complete.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of Tom’s Construction for the\nAlmansor Park Gymnasium Exterior Painting Project as complete in the amount of\n$97,800.00; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of Los\nAngeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5 percent retention 35\ndays from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to undertake the\nsteps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
