RESOLUTION NO.      - Acceptance of Federal Financial Assistance Funds and Execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture:  In amount of up to $300,000, covering purchase of a large capacity on-site organic waste aerobic composter for establishment of the Los Angeles International Airport On-Site Composting and Food Waste Reduction Pilot Program \nPURPOSE: The requested actions described in the staff report are to secure up to $300,000 in federal financial assistance for direct reimbursement of costs related to the purchase of a large capacity organic waste aerobic composter to establish the Los Angeles International Airport On-Site Composting and Food Waste Reduction Program. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f and Article III, Class 1 (32) of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve acceptance of federal financial assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture in amount up to $300,000; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture relative to acceptance and use of said funds as a partial funding source for purchase of a large capacity on-site organic waste aerobic composter for establishment of the Los Angeles international Airport On-Site Composting and Food Waste Reduction Pilot Program, after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
