5.6 AWARD OF A PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE\nFISCAL YEAR 2024-25 ANNUAL RESIDENTIAL SLURRY SEAL PROJECT TO\nAMERICAN ASPHALT SOUTH, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $353,432.50\n(Parco)\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1) Approve the plans and specifications for the Fiscal Year 2024-25\nAnnual Residential Slurry Seal Project; and\n2) Find that the Project is categorically exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA), as a Class 1 Existing Facilities,\npursuant to CEQA Guidelines, Section 15301; and\n3) Award a Public Works Construction Contract to the lowest responsive,\nresponsible bidder American Asphalt South, Inc. of Riverside,\nCalifornia, in the amount of $353,432.50, and reject all other bids;\nand\n4) Authorize the Mayor to execute the proposed Public Works\nConstruction Contract.\nItem No. 5.6\nITEMS REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT CALENDAR
