JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT NOISE ABATEMENT QUARTERLY REPORT –\nQUARTER THREE AND QUARTER FOUR, 2024 This agenda report\ntransmits the John Wayne Airport Noise Abatement Quarterly Report for\nthe third and fourth quarters of 2024. The City of Tustin is within the John\nWayne Airport’s “Noise Impact Area” since it has the potential to be\nexposed to an average Community Noise Equivalent Level of more than\n65 decibels. Community Noise Equivalent Level is a weighted average of\nnoise levels over a 24-hour period, and is a measurement frequently used\nin regulating the impacts of airport noise on the surrounding community.\nThe average noise levels measured at Tustin’s monitoring station, which\nis located at Columbus Tustin Middle School on Beneta Way (site map\nprovided as Attachment A), remained below the City, County, and State\nmaximum criteria during the third and fourth quarter reporting periods.\nRecommendation: That the City Council receive and file this report.Fiscal\nImpact: There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
