8.7\nAWARD A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO CINTAS CORPORATION\nFOR RENTAL AND CLEANING OF UNIFORMS AND RELATED PRODUCTS\nComments:\nCurrently Unifirst Corporation (Unifirst) provides cleaning and rental uniform services to\nthe City of Lynwood’s Public Works Department operations staff. The contract expired\nand Unifirst has been providing the services on a month-to-month basis. The Public\nWorks department is seeking to execute a service agreement with Cintas Corporation via\na cooperative agreement from the State of California, Department of General Services\n(DGS). DGS allows cities and various government agencies to enter into agreements to\ntake advantage of large quantity bids and Request for Proposals nationwide. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A\nPROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO CINTAS CORPORATION FOR\nUNIFORM RENTAL AND CLEANING SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,825 PER\nYEAR, FOR A TERM OF 2 YEARS WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND THE AGREEMENT\nFOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIODS
