22. CONTRACT APPROVAL: ALHAMBRA CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT\nASSOCIATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 – F2M21-50, C2M25-23, M2M25-77\nSince 1974, the City has maintained an agreement with the ACBDA to provide promotional\nsupport to the merchants in the Central Business District of Alhambra. These merchants\nare assessed in accordance with the Alhambra Municipal Code, Section 5.04.201. The\nCity collects the assessment and allocates it for marketing and promotion activities specific\nto the Business District area. According to the City’s agreement with the ACBDA, a\nmaximum of ninety percent (90%) of the total funds collected each year by the City may\nbe allocated to the ACBDA. The Fiscal Year 2025-2026 minimum allocation total is\nestimated to be $85,500.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to the Alhambra Central Business District\nAssociation (ACBDA) for the promotion of the Central Business District for the 2025-2026\nFiscal Year; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M25-77)
