5. Approval of Maintenance Services Agreement for Citywide Plumbing\nServices with Verne’s Plumbing, Inc. & Pacific Plumbing Company of Santa\nAna dba Pacific Plumbing of Southern California\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve the Maintenance Services Agreement for Citywide Plumbing Services\nwith Verne’s Plumbing, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of $75,000 per year\nfor Fiscal Years 2023-24 through 2025-26, subject to extension administratively\nfor two additional one-year periods;\n2. Approve the Maintenance Services Agreement for Citywide Plumbing Services\nwith Pacific Plumbing Company of Santa Ana dba Pacific Plumbing of Southern\nCalifornia in the not-to-exceed amount of $75,000 per year for Fiscal Years\n2023-24 through 2025-26, subject to extension administratively for two\nadditional one-year periods;\n3. Approve a not-to-exceed 20% contingency per year of the total contract in the\namount of $15,000 for unforeseen conditions or extra work and authorize the\nPublic Works Director/City Engineer to approve additional work with Verne’s\nPlumbing, Inc. for a total not-to-exceed amount of $90,000 per year, if needed;\n4. Approve a not-to-exceed 20% contingency per year of the total contract in the\namount of $15,000 for unforeseen conditions or extra work and authorize the\nPublic Works Director/City Engineer to approve additional work with Pacific\nPlumbing Company of Santa Ana dba Pacific Plumbing of Southern California\nfor a total not-to-exceed amount of $90,000 per year, if needed; and,\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and future amendments\nto the Maintenance Services Agreement with Verne’s Plumbing, Inc., subject\nto the City Attorney making non-substantive changes.\n6. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and future amendments\nto the Maintenance Services Agreement with Pacific Plumbing Company of\nSanta Ana dba Pacific Plumbing of Southern California, subject to the City\nAttorney making non-substantive changes.\nCity Council Regular Meeting Agenda Page 3 of 7 March 21, 2023
