11. Authorize outside counsel to investigate and prosecute employer wage theft and\nauthorize applying to California Labor Commission grant\nIt is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:\n1) The City does not pursue the grant opportunity offered through the California Labor\nCommission for wage theft enforcement at this time, due to the significant staffing\nrequirements needed to carry out this program as well as unfunded financial\nobligations that fall outside the scope of the grant’s allowable expenses; or\n2) Adopt the following resolution:\nRESOLUTION NO. 2025-67 - A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nPOMONA, CALIFORNIA, TO HIRE AND AUTHORIZE OUTSIDE COUNSEL TO\nINVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE EMPLOYER WAGE THEFT AND AUTHORIZE\nAPPLYING TO A CALIFORNIA LABOR COMMISSION GRANT
