I.14\n\nAUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO ALL\nAMERICAN ASPHALT FOR THE CITYWIDE PAVEMENT REHABILITATION\nPROGRAM FISCAL YEAR 2024-25, PROJECT NUMBER 801 0102 (REPORT OF:\nPUBLIC WORKS) (DISTRICT: ALL DISTRICTS)\nAuthorization to Award a Construction Contract to All American Asphalt and Award\nan Agreement for Professional Consultant Construction Inspection, Material and\nGeotechnical Services to GK & Associates for the Citywide Pavement Rehabilitation\nProgram for Fiscal Year 2024-25, Project Number 801 0102\nRecommendation(s)\nThat the City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract to All American Asphalt for the Citywide Pavement\nRehabilitation Program for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and authorize the City Manager to\nexecute a contract with All American Asphalt in the amount of $11,418,892.00,\nfunded by Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Funds (Fund 2000A) and Capital Project\nReimbursement Funds (Fund 3008); and\n2. Award an agreement for Professional Consultant Service to GK & Associates to\nprovide construction inspection, material testing and geotechnical services for the\nCitywide Pavement Rehabilitation Program Fiscal Year 2024-25 project and authorize\nthe City Manager to execute the agreement with GK & Associates in the amount of\n$345,101.30; and\n3. Authorize the issuance of a purchase order to All American Asphalt in the amount\nof $12,560,781.20 (bid amount plus a 10% contingency) necessary for completing the\nconstruction of this project; and\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute any subsequent\nchange orders to the contract with All American Asphalt that are necessary to\ncomplete the project up to the annual budget as previously approved by the City\nCouncil, subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute any subsequent amendments to the\nAgreement for Professional Consultant Services with GK & Associates, up to the\nannual budget as approved by the City Council, including the authority to authorize\nthe associated purchase orders in accordance with the terms of the Agreement,\nsubject to the approval of the City Attorney.\n\n7
