C. RESOLUTION NO. 25-18 APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026\nSENATE BILL 1 ROAD REPAIR AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT PROJECT LIST\nSenate Bill 1, also known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017,\nprovides the City of San Gabriel with access to funds for basic road\nmaintenance, rehabilitation, and safety projects. In Fiscal Year 2025-2026, the\nCity is set to receive an estimated $1,035,094. To qualify for funding under the\nAct, the City must adopt a list of eligible street improvement projects. The\nresolution presented for Council’s consideration would adopt the project list\nand authorize the Public Works Director to file the required documents with\nthe California Transportation Commission to secure the funding. Adoption of\nResolution No. 25-18 will allow the City to receive Senate Bill 1 funding\nestimated by the State of California to be $1,035,094 for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-18 and\nauthorize the Public Works Director to file necessary documentation to satisfy\nSenate Bill 1 funding requirements and act as the authorized signatory for\nmatters related to Fiscal Year 2025-2026 funding.
