9.6 PROJECT ACCEPTANCE FOR VERKADA SURVEILLANCE CAMERA PROJECT\nComments:\nOn June 6, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to Edgeworth Security for the\npurchase and installation of 26 Verkada surveillance cameras to replace older cameras\nthat were installed 13 to 14 years prior at traffic intersections throughout the City and at\nthe City park to assist law enforcement agencies obtain video to respond to, investigate,\nand prevent crimes in the City. (IT)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING\nTHE VERKADA SURVEILLANCE CAMERA PROJECT COMPLETE; AUTHORIZING\nTHE FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nRECORDER’S OFFICE AND THE RELEASE OF THE RETENTION 35 DAYS AFTER\nTHE ACCEPTANCE.”
