10.\n2024-25 OVERLAY AND SLURRY SEAL PROGRAM - OVERLAY C, D, AND\nSLURRY SEAL, PROJECT M0157 - PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND\nCONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS - City Council consider awarding construction\ncontracts for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal Program - Overlay C, Overlay D, and\nSlurry Seal projects. The annual overlay and slurry seal projects are an integral part of the\nCity of Santa Clarita’s pavement management program. Each year, streets are evaluated\nand identified for needed pavement preservation and rehabilitation treatments.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal\nProgram – Overlay C, Project M0157.\n2. Approve the plans and specifications for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal\nProgram – Overlay D, Project M0157.\n3. Approve the plans and specifications for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal\nProgram – Slurry Seal, Project M0157.\n4. Award the construction contract for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal Program –\nOverlay C project to Toro Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $2,798,316 and\nauthorize a contingency in the amount of $419,747, for a total contract amount not to\nexceed $3,218,063.\n5. Award the construction contract for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal Program –\nOverlay D project to Toro Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $3,948,129 and\nauthorize a contingency in the amount of $592,219, for a total contract amount not to\nexceed $4,540,348.\n6. Award the construction contract for the 2024-25 Overlay and Slurry Seal Program –\nSlurry Seal project to American Asphalt South, Inc., in the amount of $1,317,014 and\nauthorize a contingency in the amount of $197,552, for a total contract amount not to\nexceed $1,514,566.\n7. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nAttorney approval.\nThis time has been set aside for any speakers that have turned in speaker cards and were not\nheard in the first thirty minutes allotted to address the City Council on items that are NOT on the\nagenda.
