A.\n\nApproval of Ninth Amendment to City Clerk Employment Agreement and Approval\nof Salary Schedule Resolution No. 2025-25 The City and the City Clerk entered\ninto an Employment Agreement ("Agreement") on April 10, 2018. Section 3 of the\nAgreement permits the City Council to conduct performance evaluations and\ngrant increases in salary. Pursuant to Section 3(A)(2) of the Agreement, the City\nCouncil conducted the City Clerk’s performance evaluation on April 22, 2025. The\nCity Clerk received a "substantially exceeds expectations" review with a 5 rating.\nThereafter, on May 13, 2025 the City Council conducted a Closed Session to\nnegotiate compensation. At that Closed Session the Council directed a contract\namendment be presented to the Council providing for a 7% increase, bringing the\nCity Clerk’s total annual base salary from $164,604 to $176,124. As required by\nGovernment Code 54953(c)(3) prior to final action on the City Clerk’s salary or\ncompensation and benefits there must be an oral report of the change. The City\nAttorney will orally report the changes as required.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:\n1.\n\nApprove the granting of a 7% increase for a “substantially exceeds\nexpectations” performance evaluation effective May 13, 2025, and authorize\nthe Mayor to execute the Ninth Amendment on behalf of the City Council to\nreflect the increase; and\n\n2.\n\nAdopt Resolution No. 2025-25, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY\nCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE\nCOMPREHENSIVE SALARY SCHEDULE TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF\nCALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS TITLE 2, SECTIONS 570.5 AND 571 TO\nREFLECT APPROVED RATES FROM MAY 13, 2025 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025\n\nStaff Report
