J.\n\nFirst Amendment to Professional Services Agreement for a One-Year Extension\nfor Building and Safety Services – Transtech Engineers, Inc. On July 1, 2022, the\nCity Council approved a three-year Professional Services Agreement with\nTranstech for building and safety services, that is scheduled to expire on June 30,\n2025. The scope of services includes serving and protecting the public by\nensuring that building construction complies with the California Building\nStandards Code (Title 28, California Code of Regulations) as well as State safety\nlaws, disabled access, and City Ordinances. The terms of the Agreement allow for\ntwo one-year extensions, and staff is recommending approval of the first one-year\nextension to a new expiration date of June 30, 2026.\n\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve the First Amendment authorizing a\none-year extension and the increase in hourly compensation in accordance with the\nCPI-U.\nStaff Report
