N.\n\nAdopt Resolution No. 2025-23 - Approving SB1 Project List for Fiscal Year 2025-26\nUnder the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 Senate Bill (SB) 1, also\nknown as the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, was enacted to address\nCalifornia’s substantial backlog of road maintenance and infrastructure needs.\nThis legislation provides the City of Rosemead with access to funds for essential\nroad maintenance, rehabilitation, and critical safety improvements. For the\nupcoming FY 25-26 year, the City is projected to receive $1,335,861 in SB1funding. To remain eligible for these funds, the City must adopt a list of proposed\nstreet projects by resolution and file it with the California Transportation\nCommission. Resolution No. 2025-23, presented for Council’s consideration,\nwould adopt the City’s project list for FY 2025-26 and authorize staff to submit to\nthe California Transportation Commission by July 1, 2025, to be eligible to receive\nthe funds.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2025-23, entitled: A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA,\nAPPROVING A LIST OF PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 FUNDED BY SB 1:\nTHE ROAD REPAIR AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF 2017\nStaff Report
