13.u\n1243\nApprove Change Order No. 1 to Contract C47860 with All\nAmerican Asphalt, of Corona, CA, in the amount of $78,090.56 for\nthe Haystack Road Traffic Calming and Safety Improvement\nProject (CST00006).\nAWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO AMERICAN CIVIL\nCONSTRUCTORS WEST COAST, LLC, PURSUANT TO THE FY 2024-25\nBRIDGE PREVENTATIVE MAINTENACE PROGRAM, PROJECT NO.\nMFA00007 – CEQA DETERMINATION\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Make a finding that the project is categorically exempt from further\nreview under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\nGuidelines, pursuant to Class 1, Section 15301 (Existing\nFacilities), and authorize the City Engineer to submit a Notice of\nExemption.\n2.\nAward contract to American Civil Constructors West Coast, LLC, of\nBenicia, CA, in the amount of $737,000 for the Bridge Preventative\nMaintenance Program (BPMP), Project No. MFA00007.\n3.\nAuthorize the Director of Finance to set aside a 10% contingency\nin the amount of $73,700.\n4.\nAuthorize the City Attorney to make necessary non-monetary\nchanges to the agreement.\n5.\nAuthorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and any\nwritten requests for change orders up to the contingency amount,\namendments, and any other documents necessary to effectuate\nthis action, in accordance with Palm Desert Municipal Code\nSection 3.30.170(B).\n6.\nAuthorize the City Manager to execute the Notice of Completion\n(NOC) and the City Clerk to file the NOC upon satisfactory\ncompletion of the Project.\n7.\nAuthorize the City Manager to negotiate a Reimbursement\nAgreement with the City of Rancho Mirage.\n1263\n9\nPalm Desert City Council Meeting Agenda\nJune 12, 2025
