This item seeks City Council's authorization and agreement to continue participation\nin the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) Crisis Assistance Response &\nEngagement Program (SGV CARE) to co-respond to mental health crisis situations.\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1. Approve the City's continued participation in the San Gabriel Valley Council of\nGovernment's Crisis Assistance & Engagement (SGV CARE) Program through March\n31, 2028; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the continued service provider agreement with\nthe San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
