18. Resolution Adopting the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget. The City operates on a July 1st to June\n30th fiscal year and is required to have a balanced budget adopted prior to entering the new\nFiscal Year. The City Council will consider a final budget in which ongoing expenditures exceed\nongoing revenues, but it is operationally balanced through the use of one-time funds. Total\nGeneral Fund expenditures are proposed at $49,951,566 with total appropriations (all funds) at\n$99,223,658. In addition to approving a final budget, the City Council is asked to adopt a\nResolution to formally approve the Fiscal Year 2025–26 budget.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt a resolution titled, "A RESOLUTION OF THE\nCITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR\nTHE 2025-26 FISCAL YEAR," approving the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Operating Budget and\nappropriating $99,223,658 to cover expenditures across all funds.
