9.F. Urban Area Security Initiative - Award of Contract to Richard Beckman, of Beckman\nEducational Consultants, for the Regional Training Group ("RTG") Fire Service\nTraining Officer\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n1. Authorizing the City Manager to execute a one year agreement in the amount of\n$150,000, with the option to extend for an additional two years, with Richard\nBeckman of Beckman Educational Consultants, LLC., in a form approved by the City\nAttorney, to provide training and further develop response readiness of Los Angeles\narea fire agencies for incidents of national significance for an amount not to exceed\n$450,000;\n2. Authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to appropriate $150,000 in grant funding\nto the FY 2025-2026 budget; and\n3. Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
