17.\nTown Project No.5005: Yucca Valley Senior Center Modernization Phase 2\nProject - Change Order #12 and #13, Consultant Services Amendment #2\nRecommendation:\nThat the Town Council;\n1- Amends the budget to allocate $360,000.00 from Measure Y\nFund 801 for the Town Project No.5005.\n2- Approves Change Order #12 to the contract with SPEC\nConstruction Company, Inc. for Dining Room renovation to\ninclude flooring, painting, lighting, and window covering,,\nincreasing the contract by $249,247.19, bringing the original\ncontract amount of $2,173,000.00 to $2,422,247.19.\n3- Approves Change Order #13 to the contract with SPEC\nConstruction Company, Inc. for the complete removal and\nreplacement of asphalt for the upper parking lot,, increasing the\ncontract by $63,562.27, bringing the contract amount of\n$2,422,247.19 to $2,485,809.46.\n4- Approves a contingency of $30,000.00 to cover any ancillary and\nincidental expenses, authorize the Town Manager or his\ndesignee to approve any subsequent amendments for a total\ncontact amount not to exceed.\n5- Approves Amendment # 2 for an increase in the amount of\n$15,134.51 to Holt Architects to assist with design and\nsubmittal's approval for the Change Order #12, increasing the\ncontract amount from $268,223.00 to $283,357.51.
