19.\nAWARD CONTRACT: CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE\nALHAMBRA COMMUNITY CENTER – F2M25-32, RFP2M25-6, C2M25-29, M2M25-91\nOn April 14, 2025, the City Council authorized the circulation of a Request for Proposals\n(RFP) for Construction Management Services for the Alhambra Community Center\nProject. The City intends to hire a Construction Manager for the “CM Multi-Prime” project\ndelivery of the Alhambra Community Center Project. A total of two proposals for this\nproject were received from qualified consulting firms. On June 9, 2025, an evaluation\npanel consisting of the Project Manager from Corbis and Cowley and two City staff\nmembers interviewed and rated the firms to determine how each met the essential\nrequirements outlined in the RFP, including: Compliance with the RFP Requirements;\nproject understanding and approach; experience; level of effort, schedule, and costeffectiveness to provide efficient services. After careful consideration, the evaluation panel\ndetermined Illig Construction best meets the City’s criteria and overall needs.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and the City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra\nand Illig Construction for Construction Management Services for the construction of the\nAlhambra Community Center in an amount not to exceed $2,161,626; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
