27.\nCONTRACT AMENDMENT: TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET\nMAINTENANCE SERVICES – F2M20-9, C2M20-27, M2M25-98\nLIGHTING\nOn July 13, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to Siemens in the amount of\n$200,000.00 for the Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Maintenance Services with an option\nto extend services for an additional four one-year terms. On July 12, 2021, the City Council\namended the existing contract with Siemens Mobility Inc. to include a company name\nchange to YUNEX LLC and authorized the City Manager to extend the contract and all\nremaining contract extensions placed in the original contract upon satisfactory\nperformance by the contractor. The contract expires on June 30, 2025 and will exceed\nthe contract amount due to higher maintenance than anticipated including damages\noccurred by the wind storm and increased vandalism. Staff calculated and determined that\nthe Fiscal Year 2024/25 total contract costs will be $300,000.00 for Traffic Signal and\nStreet Lighting Maintenance, which the difference of $100,000.00 can be appropriated\nfrom the Lighting and Landscape Fund. A Request for Proposals is currently underway\nfor a new contract beginning July 2025 for Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Services.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve a Fifth Amendment by and between\nthe City of Alhambra and YUNEX LLC (Contract No. C2M20-27), subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney for Traffic Signal and Street Lighting\nMaintenance Services; appropriate $100,000.00 from the Lighting and Landscape Fund;\nauthorize the City Manager or designee to sign the amendment; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
