F.2.\nLOCAL POLICY TO DEFEND CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES FOR\nCRIMINAL ACTIONS BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN\nCOMPLIANCE WITH STATE LAW [L. LANGER, D. WILSON]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a local policy to defend City\nofficials and employees in criminal actions taken by the federal\ngovernment when it is within the scope of performance of official city\nduties and in compliance with state law.\nRECOMMENDATION: Approve a local policy to authorizes the City\nManager and City Attorney to take all steps necessary to provide a\ndefense of a criminal action or proceeding by the federal government for\nCity officials and employees when it is brought on account of an act that is\nwithin the scope of performance of official city duties and in compliance\nwith state law.
