F.7.\nSPONSORSHIP OF A SCREENING AND PANEL OF THE\nDOCUMENTARY “STUDIO ONE FOREVER”\n[J. ERICKSON, A.\nLOVANO, J. DEL TORO, M. MÁRQUEZ]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a request to sponsor a\nscreening and panel discussion of the documentary “Studio One Forever”,\nwhich chronicles the story of Studio One, a former West Hollywood\nnightclub, its significance to the LGBTQ+ community, and its contributions\nto Los Angeles’s rich music and nightclub history.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a sponsorship of a screening and\npanel discussion of the documentary “Studio One Forever” to be held at\nthe West Hollywood City Council Chambers in late Summer or early Fall\n2025; 2) Authorize the Director of Finance & Technology Services to\nallocate $5,000 from budgeted funds in the Fiscal Year 2026 Special\nCouncil Programs account number 100-1-01-00-531001 for costs\nassociated with the event; 3) Approve the waiver of parking fees at the 5story parking lot for attendees of the event (estimated $600 in waived\nfees); and 4) Direct the Communications Department to utilize all\nappropriate communication tools to promote the event, including, but not\nlimited to, the City’s website and social media tools.
