CONSIDERATION OF POLICY DEVELOPMENT FOR NAMING AND RENAMING\nCITY-OWNED PARKS AND PUBLIC FACILITIES\nAt the January 14, 2025 City Council meeting, Council Member Warren requested to\nagendize an item related to naming and renaming City-owned parks and public facilities.\nAt its meeting of January 28, 2025, the City Council received consensus and directed\nstaff to proceed with preparation of a staff report. Tonight’s item seeks Council feedback\non essential policy elements to guide the development of a formal Naming and Renaming\nPolicy. Staff will use this input to prepare a draft policy for consideration at a future\nmeeting.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this item is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act\n(“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(5) (Organizational or administrative activities\nof governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the\nenvironment); and\n2.
