6.\nADOPT A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS\nFOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 ANNUAL SLURRY SEAL PROJECT\n(PW-711-24); AWARD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO AMERICAN\nASPHALT SOUTH, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $938,000; APPROVE\nADDITIONAL CONSTRUCTION EXPENDITURES NOT TO EXCEED\n$93,800, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 10% OF THE CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT AMOUNT; AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE\nALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS; AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY CLERK TO\nRECORD THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE\nWORK BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR\nRecommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt\nResolution R25-19 to: 1. Approve the plans and specifications for the\nFiscal Year (FY) 2024-2025 Annual Slurry Seal Project (City Project No.\nPW-711-24); 2. Award a construction contract to American Asphalt South\nin the amount of $938,000; 3. Approve additional construction\nexpenditures not to exceed $93,800, which is approximately 10% of the\nconstruction contract amount; 4. Authorize the City Manager to execute\nall contract documents; and 5. Authorize the City Clerk to Record the\nNotice of Completion upon Acceptance of the Work by the Public Works\nDirector\nStaff Report\nAttachment A\nAttachment B\nAttachment C
