CC 7. Accept California Highway Patrol FY 25/26 CTFGP Law Enforcement: Small and Mid-Size\nLaw Enforcement Organizations/Agencies Grant\nRecommendation(s):\n1. Adopt Resolution No. ______ , authorizing submittal of the application(s) for all\nCalifornia Highway Patrol Grants for which the City of Lancaster is eligible and approval to\nreceive CTFGP funding.\n2. Accept California Highway Patrol CTFGP Education Grant in the amount of $418,152.07\nto revenue account 23030000.4998.\n3. Appropriate $418,152.07 to expenditure account 23030000.5656, for the implementation\nof programs and activities funded by the CHP CTFGP Enforcement Grant, and purchase of\nsupplies, services, and equipment.\n4. Authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute all contracts, amendments, and\nassociated documents, including memoranda of agreement, and other agreements necessary\nor appropriate to implement and expend up to $418,152.07 in accordance with the Funding\nAgreement Between California Highway Patrol and the City of Lancaster, subject to City\nAttorney approval.\nWith the passage of Proposition 64 in 2016, The Control, Regulate, and Tax Adult Use\nMarijuana Act (AUMA), California voters mandated the state to set aside funding for the\nCalifornia Highway Patrol to provide grants to local governments and Qualified Nonprofit\nOrganizations for the education, prevention, and enforcement of impaired driving laws\npursuant to Section 34019 (f)(3)(B) Revenue and Taxation Code (RTC).
