Item S401:\nFifth Amendment to Increase Expenditure Authority for the Cooperative\nProcurement Contract Between the City of San Diego and Rehrig Pacific Company\nfor Waste Carts, Recycling Carts, Cart Parts, Bins and Related Products and\nServices. (Added 7/10/25)\nThis item will be considered in the afternoon session which is scheduled to begin at\n2:00 p.m.\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nThis proposed action increases the contract not-to-exceed amount by $64,719,419.69 to a\nnew ceiling of $103,526,419.69. The $64.7 million increase includes $41.5 million to\npurchase containers and $23.2 million for delivery of new containers, pick up of old\ncontainers, and recycling of old containers. To reduce the fiscal impact on customers, the\ncontainer purchase will be debt financed and the collection of revenue on the remaining\nexpenditures are spread over 10 years.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\n(R-2026-9)\nResolution authorizing the Mayor, or designee, to execute the Fifth Amendment to the\nContract with Rehrig Pacific Company for Waste Carts, Recycling Carts, Cart Parts, Bins,\nand Related Products and Services, to include assembly, distribution, and retraction\nservices, modify pricing, and increase the not-to-exceed amount to a total of\n$103,526,419.69, and all related actions.\nCommittee Actions Taken: N/A\nEnvironmental Services: Kirby Brady, (619) 249-2735\nCity Attorney Contact: Nicole M.
