A. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GRIFFIN STRUCTURES FOR\nTHE PREPARATION OF A POLICE FACILITY SPACE NEEDS ASSESSMENT\nSTUDY FOR $127,000 PLUS A 10% CONTINGENCY [RESOLUTION NO. 2529]\nThe San Gabriel Police Department building is in need of critical improvements\nto provide employees with an adequate, efficient, and safe working\nenvironment. Public Works staff developed a Request for Proposal for the\nPolice Facility Space Needs Assessment Study Project and following interviews,\nstaff determined that Griffin Structures is the most qualified and cost-effective\nfirm for this project. The total cost for Griffin Structures to complete the Space\nNeeds Assessment Study is $127,000 with an additional 10% contingency of\n$12,700, bringing the total project budget to $139,700. Resolution No. 25-29\nwould appropriate the necessary funds into the City’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026\nbudget.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute\na Professional Services Agreement with Griffin Structures and approve a\npurchase order in the amount of $127,000, and a purchase order for a 10%\ncontingency using Police Facility Development Impact Fees (Budget Account\n124-751-40-96-586). Additionally, staff recommends adoption of Resolution\nNo. 25-29 to appropriate the necessary funds for completion of the project.
