7. RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND APPROVAL OF A\nCONTRACT WITH PAVEMENT COATINGS, CO. FOR THE 2022-2023 ANNUAL\nSLURRY SEAL PROJECT\nPurpose: Approve plans and specifications, and authorize the Public Works Department\nto hire a contractor for the 2022-2023 Annual Slurry Seal Project. This project is included\nin the FY 2022-2023 Capital Improvements Projects budget, and is funded by the Road\nMaintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) Fund (Account No. 24-9806-590010).\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving the plans and specifications for\nthe 2022-2023 Annual Slurry Seal Project; 2) Award a contract to Pavement Coatings\nCo. in the amount of $480,893.25; 3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of\n$48,000 in the same purchase order; 4) Authorize construction engineering in the\namount of $15,000; 5) Approve a budget transfer in the amount of $170,000 from the\nMalvern Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project Account; 6) Authorize the City\nManager and City Attorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the\ncontract; and 7) Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the contract.
