24.\nRESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED COMPREHENSIVE MEMORANDUM OF\nUNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE ALHAMBRA POLICE DISPATCHERS’\nASSOCIATION (APDA) – F2M25-2, C2M21-51, R2M25-31, M2M25-117\nIn February 2025, City Council approved the addition of a new class specification, Lead\nDispatcher. As such, the MOU between the City of Alhambra and the Alhambra Police\nDispatchers’ Association (APDA) was updated to include the new classification. It was\nrecently brought to staff’s attention that language pertaining to Shift Differential benefit pay\nneeded to be updated to include Lead Dispatchers. Therefore, clarifying language is\nincluded to state Lead Dispatchers are eligible to receive Shift Differential benefit pay\nwhen applicable. Additionally, as a part of staff’s efforts to continue to revise and update\nthe Comprehensive MOU where necessary, applicable language pertaining to “Sick Leave\nPayout Upon Retirement – After 15 Years of Service” has been added to clarify existing\nbenefits as it applies to those who are eligible.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council adopt Resolution No. R2M25-31 entitled: A\nResolution of the Alhambra City Council approving a Revised Comprehensive\nMemorandum of Understanding between the City of Alhambra and the Alhambra Police\nDispatchers’ Association; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
