5.\nAWARD CONTRACT: MOBILE DATA COMPUTERS (MDC) – F2M26-6B, C2M25-31,\nM2M25-103\nThe Police Department has utilized mobile data computers (MDC) as a vital\ncommunication tool between dispatchers and officers. The existing MDCs are over five\nyears old and have become outdated and obsolete. Getac Technology Corporation\nsubmitted a quote of $120,744.72 for 23 Getac S510 MDCs (including mounting hardware\nand installation) under the State of California Sourcewell Coorperative Agreement Number\n090122-GET. These agreements are available to all State of California government\nagencies. In accordance with Alhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3), the City Council\nmay approve purchases through or in conjunction with another public agency’s purchase\nof the same supplies or equipment.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Getac Technology Corporation in an\namount not to exceed $120,744.72 for the purchase of mobile data computers and related\nequipment and installation; authorize the Chief of Police to execute said agreement; and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary finalize Council’s action.
