14.\nAWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS – F2M25-6B,\nC2M25-34, M2M25-110\nThe Alhambra Fire Department staff is currently using thermal imaging cameras (TICs)\nthat are 14 years old and do not have the modern technology and safety features desired\nfrom essential life-saving frontline equipment. The batteries do not hold a charge and have\nbeen replaced many times. Staff is seeking to purchase new TICs to replace the aging\ncritical equipment through a cooperative purchase agreement. A cooperative purchase is\nallowable per Alhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3). Sourcewell awarded contract\n#020124-LNC on April 22, 2024 - a contract that does not expire until April 4, 2028.\nSourcewell bid specifications included an option for purchasing TICs. Staff is\nrecommending purchasing the TICs utilizing this Sourcewell option.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to L.N Curtis & Sons in an amount not to\nexceed $140,096.32 for the purchase of Thermal Imaging Cameras (TIC); and, direct staff\nto undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
