12.\nRESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE\nLAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND FOR THE STORY PARK ALLINCLUSIVE PLAYGROUND – F2M25-18, R2M25-27, M2M25-108\nStaff is in the process of preparing a grant application to the Land and Water Conservation\nFund for the purchase of an all-inclusive playground at Story Park. The funding request\nof $1,058,937 is based on preliminary estimates for the equipment. The project will replace\nthe current play structure which has been in place for over twenty years. The new\nplayground complements the Story Park renovations (Serenity Circle) that are scheduled\nto be completed in 2026. The playground equipment, when installed, will enhance the park\nexperience for children of all ages and abilities.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council adopt Resolution No. R2M25-27 entitled: A\nResolution of the City of Alhambra approving the application for the Land and Water\nConservation Fund Story Park All Inclusive Playground Equipment Project as required by\nthe Land and Water Conservation Fund authorizing a grant request for the replacement\nof the large playground at Story Park; authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute\nall grant documents; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the\nCouncil’s action.
