13.\nAWARD OF CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF A NEW 2026 RAM 3500 CREW CAB\nTRUCK TO BE EQUIPPED FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE – F2M25-6A, C2M25-33,\nM2M25-109\nThe purchase of a new emergency response vehicle is to replace a 2003 Ford 350 Truck.\nThe Fire Department staff uses the vehicle daily to provide services to the residents of\nAlhambra. Maintenance and repairs exceed the value of the vehicle, which has reached\nthe end of its expected useful life. Once the vehicle is replaced with the new truck, it will\nbe rotated into reserve status. Staff is seeking to purchase the vehicle to replace the aging\nvehicle through a cooperative purchase agreement. A cooperative purchase is allowable\nper Alhambra Municipal Code 3.36.08(B)(3). Sourcewell awarded contract #091521-NAF\nto National Auto Fleet Group on November 4, 2021- a contract that does not expire until\nNovember 8, 2026. Sourcewell bid specifications included an option for purchasing\nautomobiles, SUV’s, vans, and light trucks with related equipment, and accessories;\ntherefore, staff is recommending purchasing the vehicle utilizing this option.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to 72 Hour LLC, dba National Auto Fleet\nGroup, in an amount not to exceed $147,574.18 for the purchase of a new 2026 Ram\n3500 Crew Cab Truck and with the price including all communication emergency alerting\nequipment which allows the vehicle to act as a mobile command center at emergency\nscenes; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M25-109)
