11.\nNOTICE OF COMPLETION: ALHAMBRA PARK POOL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT –\nF2M22-37, C2M24-3, M2M25-107\nOn January 8, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract to Tom’s Construction in the\namount of $712,00.00 for the Alhambra Park Pool Improvement Project. The project was\nfunded by the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District in the amount\nof $963,000.00. There were three change orders to the project. The change orders\nincluded: Change Order No. 1: Handrails to match ramp railing; Change Order No. 2:\nUpper pool ramp, front entrance tile, and front sliding gate; and, Change Order No. 3:\nautomatic doors, handrail extension, paint, and countertops. The change orders totaled\n$122,150.00, which brought the contract costs to $834,150.00. Staff inspected this project,\nand all work was completed in accordance with the City’s requirements and specifications.\nAs such, it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept this project as complete.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council accept the work of Tom’s Construction for the\nAlhambra Park Pool Improvement Project as complete in the amount of $834,150.00;\ndirect the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County of Los Angeles for\nrecordation; instruct the Finance Director to release the 5 percent retention 35 days from\nthe date of recordation, if no liens are filed; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize the Council’s action.
