10.8\nConsideration of a Resolution Approving a First Amendment\nto the Agreement with Global Urban Strategies, Inc. to include\na Historic Preservation and Recognition Program for the City\nof Bell Gardens\nRECOMMENDATION: It is staff's recommendation that the City\nCouncil adopt the attached Resolution approving a First Amendment\nto the Professional Services Agreement with Global Urban Strategies,\nInc. to revise the scope of work and increase the Year 1 Not-to-Exceed\ncompensation.\nCONCLUSION: The proposed First Amendment to the Professional\nServices Agreement expands the Consultant’s scope of work to\nsupport critical historic preservation efforts and pursue additional\ngrant opportunities. These enhancements will enable the City to\nbetter preserve its heritage and secure vital funding to improve the\nquality of life for the Bell Gardens community. The revised\ncompensation reflects the added value and importance of these\ninitiatives.\nFISCAL IMPACT: Sufficient funding is included in the FY 2025-2026\nGeneral Fund Budget.\nATTACHMENTS:\nExhibit 1 - Resolution No. 2025-67\nExhibit 2 - First Amendment
