11.\nCONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL FOR ACCEPTANCE OF FY 2024 EDWARD\nBYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) FUNDING AND\nAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE\nPOLICE DEPARTMENT\nIT IS RECOMMENDED THAT CITY COUNCIL:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to accept funding provided through the Edward Byrne\nMemorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program totaling $28,938; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to be designated as the Grantee Official for the\npurpose of executing grant objectives, grant agreement, and documentation; and\n3. Authorize the Finance Department to designate appropriate expenditure and\nreimbursement accounts in the current 2025-2026 FY budget to support the funds\nassociated with this grant; and\n4. Authorize the Chief of Police to complete the projects designated by the grant\nagreement.
