RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA ARTS\nCOUNCIL (CAC) GRANT FOR THE SIGNAL HILL PARK AMPHITHEATER\nPROJECT\nSummary:\nWith the passage of Assembly Bill 179 into law, the State approved funding for\nthe City of Signal Hill in the amount of $5,000,000 to construct a new outdoor\namphitheater at Signal Hill Park. The California Arts Council (CAC) is the\ndesignated State entity responsible for allocation of the grant funds to the City\nand ensuring grant funds are used for the purposes specified. Prior to payment\nof grant funds, CAC requires submission of a grant application that includes\ninformation about the project and execution of a grant agreement. Adoption of\nthis resolution provides City Council’s approval of the grant application and\nauthorizes the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to receive and\nexpend the awarded grant funds.\nRecommendation:\nAdopt a resolution, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL,\nCALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR\nTHE SIGNAL HILL PARK AMPHITHEATER PROJECT
