3. COMMENDATIONS: FREMONT & NORTHRUP ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS DUAL\nIMMERSION PROGRAM STUDENTS – F2M25-3\nMayor Lee and the Alhambra City Council wish to recognize and commended the 8th\nGrade Spanish and Mandarin Dual Immersion Students at Fremont and Northrup\nElementary Schools upon the occasion of their completion of the Dual Immersion\nProgram. The Dual Immersion Program educates students in both English and either\nSpanish or Mandarin to encourage biliteracy and the exploration of different cultures. The\nCity of Alhambra commends the teachers and students participating in the Fremont\nElementary and Northrup Elementary Dual Immersion Programs for their commitment and\ndedication to academic enrichment through bilingualism.
