3. Five-Signature Letter to Increase Funding for the Victims of Crime Act\nfor Federal Fiscal Year 2024\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Hahn and Solis: Direct the\nChief Executive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and\nIntergovernmental Relations Branch, to send a five-signature letter in\nsupport of increasing the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024 funding levels for\nthe Victims of Crime Act’s Crime Victims Fund to the FFY 2023 enacted\nlevels, to the Chairs of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees,\nwith a copy to the Los Angeles County’s Congressional Delegation; and\nadvocate for State funding related to the Victims of Crime Act, including\nsigning on to coalition efforts supporting a State backfill request for\n$200,000,000 to ensure all survivors have access to the services they need.\n(23-4202)\nAttachments: Motion by Supervisors Hahn and Solis\nPublic Comment/Correspondence
