28. As-Needed Security Guard Services Contracts\nRecommendation: Authorize and instruct the Director of Public Health to\nexecute contracts with Citiguard, Inc. and Hamilton Private Security,\nselected through a competitive solicitation process for the provision of\nas-needed security guard services, effective January 1, 2024 through\nDecember 31, 2026, for a total maximum obligation not to exceed\n$1,440,000 annually, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and\nPrevention, Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Funds Assistance\nListing No. 93.323, Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds,\nAssistance Listing Number 21.027, and California Department of Public\nHealth Future of Public Health Funds; execute amendments to the\ncontracts that extend the term for up to two additional one-year periods\nthrough December 31, 2028, make changes to the statements of work, as\nnecessary, and immediately suspend the contracts upon issuing a written\nnotice to the contractors who fail to fully comply with contract requirements,\nterminate the contracts for convenience by providing a 30-calendar day\nadvance written notice to the contractors, and accept a voluntary contract\ntermination notice from the contractors.
