4. APPROVAL OF OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) GRANT AGREEMENT\nFOR SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council approve the agreements for OTS\nGrant Funding and authorize the Chief of Police and the Finance Director to enter into\nthe agreements with the Office of Traffic Safety in an amount not to exceed $83,040\nin the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 and add $83,040 of estimated revenues and\nappropriate $83,040 of expenditures as noted in the Staff Report from the OTS Grant\nFund. If the City Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion\nwould be:\n“I move to approve and authorize the Chief of Police and the Finance Director to enter\ninto the agreements with the Office of Traffic Safety in an amount not to exceed\n$83,040 in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and add $83,040 of estimated\nrevenues and appropriate $83,040 of expenditures as noted in the Staff Report from\nthe OTS Grant Fund.”\nWRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS OR PUBLIC WRITINGS DISTRIBUTION\nThis is an opportunity to announce any written communications pertaining to the City\nreceived by members of the City Council.
