21. Expansion of Comprehensive Tobacco Control Services in Los Angeles\nCounty\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Mitchell: Authorize the Director of\nPublic Health to enter into temporary, short-term, sole source service\nagreements with new or previously approved organizations that were not funded\nunder the comprehensive tobacco control services Request for Proposal,\nand/or amend current contracts utilizing funds that were previously identified\nand approved under Board Order No. 31 of August 9, 2022, with such\nagreements and/or amendments not to extend beyond June 30, 2028, including\nthe following:\nComprehensive Tobacco Control Services, Funding Category 1: Reduce\nYouth Access to Tobacco Products: Tobacco Retail Licensing, at a total\namount not to exceed $220,000 annually across all new agreements and\namendments; and\nComprehensive Tobacco Control Services, Funding Category 2: Reduce\nExposure to Secondhand Smoke in Multi-Unit Housing, at a total amount\nnot to exceed $220,000 annually across all new agreements and\namendments; and\nAuthorize the Director to execute future amendments across all new\nagreements.
