54. Alcohol and Drug Impaired Driver Vertical Prosecution Program Grant\nFunds\nRecommendation: Authorize the District Attorney to accept Federal grant funds\nin the amount of $2,013,000 from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS),\nfor a one-year period from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, with\nno County match requirement, to support the Alcohol and Drug Impaired Driver\nVertical Prosecution Program (Program); serve as Program Director and\nexecute and approve the OTS grant contract and any revisions, amendments,\nmodifications, and/or extensions to the OTS grant contract that do not increase\nthe Net County Cost of the Program; and amend the Vital Medical Services\ncontract for on-call blood draw services for the detection of impairing\nsubstances in driving under the influence investigations for an additional\n$100,000 in grant funding for a total amount of $200,000 for a one-year period\nfrom October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 and a total contract amount\nof $450,000 for three years and six months, contingent upon future grant\nfunding.
