Proclaiming “Ageism Awareness Day”\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Horvath: Proclaim October 7,\n2023, as “Ageism Awareness Day” throughout Los Angeles County; encourage\ncities throughout the County to also proclaim October 7, 2023, as “Ageism\nAwareness Day”; and instruct the Director of Aging and Disabilities to provide\neducational material to all County Departments and other partners to encourage\nall residents to increase public awareness and combat ageism.
